"Building a better India: WRF and BECIL's vision for Mini Malls and Village Business Parks"

WRF's vision is to make India a $47 trillion economy by its centenary year of Independence in 2047. BECIL, (Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL) , Mini Ratna, Central Public Sector Enterprise of Government of India) on the other hand which provides project consultancy services and turnkey solutions encompassing the entire gamut of radio and television broadcast engineering. BECIL also provides associated services like building design and construction related to broadcasting, human resource-related activities like training, and providing manpower. Additionally, BECIL undertakes the supply of specialized communication, monitoring, security, and surveillance systems to defense, police, and para-military departments.


The meeting between WRF and BECIL focused on their shared vision to empower rural India by providing urban services and generating employment and business opportunities in the hinterland areas of the country. WRF and BECIL discussed the idea of setting up Mini Malls and Village Business Parks across rural India and small cities to provide citizens with the best urban services and products, thus bridging the urban-rural divide. He said, "We need to work together to create a holistic approach to rural development, one that includes access to urban services and opportunities for growth. Through our partnership with BECIL, we hope to create a model for inclusive growth that can be replicated across the country."
